This stuck in my head, not sure if it's due to the time of year, or if it's coz of the twisted workings of my mind which are better left unanalysed. Please suspend some belief in reality and the mechanics of the Pokemon games.

"GLALIE has the ability to freely control ice. For example, it can instantly freeze its foe solid. After immobilizing its foe in ice, this POKéMON enjoys eating it in leisurely fashion."

Notice how you always find stuff in caves? Really good stuff, like TMs and evolutionary stones?

Why are they there, and in hard to reach places?

Bait? Dropped by others?

By the time a trainer reaches the item, they're tired. They do the victory dance, and while distracted, a bunch of Glalie blast them with an ice attack, freezing them and their Pokemon in place. Pokemon are useless if they cannot leave their Pokeballs.

Mealtime for Glalie.

TMs and stones don't rot away...

Notice how the entry doesn't say anything about killing, just _immobilising_. Glalie like their food fresh I guess...
